The gift of a Life Membership was awarded by the West Ohio Commission on Archives and History.

To John's right are the Nominees for the 2010 Historian of the Year Award -- Julia Pierson (Walnut Street UMC, Chillicothe), Sandy Davis (Bellpoint UMC, Delaware), Josh and Jamie Brown (Bethany UMC, Liberty Township). Other Nominees are Ann Snyder (Trinity UMC, Milford, and Judy Dennis (St. Andrews UMC, Findlay).
Two winners were selected for East Ohio Historian of the Year, neither of whom could be present. Dr. Allan Hall, Chair of the East Ohio Commission on Archives and History, presents one of the awards to Rev. Leslie A. Peine on behalf of winner Fred J. Wilson (Massillon First UMC). The second award went to Helen Earley (Ashland Emmanuel), in absentia.

Other Nominees were Ed Duling (Canal Lewisville UMC, Coshocton), Florence "Sis" McKillips (Zion UMC, Kelleys Island), David G. Oby (posthumously), John Parr (Newcomerstown Calvary Charge), Clyde and Sally Wagner (Girard First UMC).
